K-pop Artists in Singapore

In 2025, Singapore also hosted numerous large-scale K-popPOP tours.

For K-pop, Singapore is regarded as a city on par with—or even more important than—Tokyo or Seoul.

While travelling abroad for concerts may feel unusual from a Japanese perspective, stadium shows in Singapore attract fans from Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and across Southeast Asia. (In many cases, dedicated tour packages from Japan that include concert attendance are also available.)

Additionally, Singapore’s English-language operational environment makes it an ideal stop for global touring teams.

  • SEVENTEEN
  • Stray Kids
  • TWICE
  • BLACKPINK

These tours are often designed from the outset around multi-day national stadium shows, resulting in massive audience numbers, large-scale advertising, and extensive social media reach across the region.
(BLACKPINK alone attracted over 150,000 attendees in Singapore the previous year.)

Artists under HYBE (such as BTS, SEVENTEEN, and ENHYPEN) also maintain partnerships with the Singapore Tourism Board, using music videos and events to promote the city internationally.

Global Headline-Class Artists

In 2025, Singapore also welcomed global superstars including:

  • Lady Gaga
  • Olivia Rodrigo
  • Bruno Mars
  • Black Eyed Peas
  • Tyla
  • Doja Cat

For artists touring stadiums worldwide, Singapore often functions as a hub city for Asia.

This is due to three key factors:

  1. Political stability, public security, and strong infrastructure
  2. High-quality venues, airports, hotels, and logistics
  3. The ability to draw audiences from multiple Southeast Asian countries into a single city

In some cases, artists choose to perform only in Singapore, skipping neighbouring countries entirely.

Conclusion: Singapore as a “Mirror”

Singapore is not simply a city that acts as a gauge for popularity or musical trends.

Rather, it acts as a mirror, reflecting how artists and production teams structure their global business models.

Success for Japanese artists in Singapore does not mean copying the K-pop model.
What matters instead is responding to the growing audience that genuinely loves Japanese music by focusing on:

  • Japan’s unique cultural context
    (music × anime × storytelling)
  • Appropriate venue selection and long-term fanbase development
  • Strategic, sustainable expansion plans

As a multicultural nation, Singapore remains one of the few cities where such approaches can be tested and nurtured safely.

And let’s look forward to seeing how tour movements evolve in 2026.
